Your Century Village ID

A practical guide to resident identification in Century Village West Palm Beach—where to go, what to ask, and how to keep your information current.

Getting your IDOwners & Rules

One card. An important part of everyday life.

Your Century Village ID identifies you within the community and supports verification of your resident status. Keep it accessible when visiting facilities or entering through a staffed gate, and follow the current rules for each service.

Start with WPRF, not the UCO barcode desk.
Resident IDs are managed by West Palm Recreational Facilities (WPRF) at the Main Clubhouse. Call 561-640-3120 and ask for the ID Office. Confirm hours, documents, appointments, and fees before traveling.

A community ID does not replace a driver’s license or government identification. Having a card also does not establish ownership, approve a lease, or override your association’s occupancy requirements.

Good information makes community living easier.

Four things that are easy to confuse

ItemPurposeWhere to start
Century Village resident IDCommunity identification and resident-status verification under applicable access rules.WPRF ID Office at the Main Clubhouse.
Vehicle barcodeVehicle entry credential; separate from the resident card.UCO barcode desk. UCO lists a CV ID and current registration in the same name among its requirements.
Guest entry authorizationLets gate staff verify an authorized visitor; does not automatically provide recreation privileges.Ask the ID Office about guest-list access; use current gate procedures.
Association approval paperworkDocuments the association’s purchase, rental, or occupancy approval process.Your association board or property manager; ask what WPRF needs for your circumstances.

Keep these processes coordinated. Completing one does not automatically complete all the others.

Getting your first ID: a simple preparation plan

This is a suggested planning checklist, not an official document list. WPRF determines the current requirements.

  1. Complete the association process. Ask your board or manager whether all purchase, lease, or occupancy approvals are finished and obtain the relevant paperwork.
  2. Call before your visit. Explain whether you are an owner, tenant, approved occupant, or seeking a guest credential. Ask which original documents and identification to bring.
  3. Confirm the details. Ask about photographs, in-person attendance, fees, payment methods, expiration dates, and any accessibility assistance you need.
  4. Check your information. Review your name, unit information, and any validity period before leaving. Ask how future changes should be reported.
  5. Handle other access separately. Ask about visitor-list instructions and, if needed, contact UCO about a vehicle barcode.
Useful questions to ask: “What do I need for my resident category?” “Must each person attend?” “When does this card expire?” “How do I replace it?”

Renewals, lost cards & changes in occupancy

Tenants and approved occupants

Check the card’s validity period and begin renewal preparations early. UCO’s published guidance describes tenants obtaining an association rental-extension Certificate of Approval and bringing it with the new lease to the ID Office. Confirm the current procedure and any additional requirements with your association and WPRF.

Do not assume an extended lease automatically updates your ID or vehicle entry record.

Lost, damaged or outdated cards

Contact WPRF promptly for replacement instructions and the current charge. Ask what identification is needed and how to handle access while waiting. If you recover a card after replacement, ask what to do with it.

When selling, moving out, or changing approved occupancy, ask WPRF how to return or update cards and ask UCO whether a barcode record needs attention.

Treat the ID as personal: do not lend it to another person. Ask WPRF about the proper guest credential and recreation rules instead. Avoid posting card photographs or access credentials in public messages.

How boards can help new residents

Clear directions. Fewer frustrations. A better welcome.

Recommended board practices. WPRF and UCO administer their own services; your association handles its approval responsibilities.
