Four quadrants · A closer connection

Your quadrant VP.
A useful connection
for your board.

UCO assigns a vice-president to each of Century Village’s four quadrants. Knowing your association’s contact can make it easier to ask questions, find the right process, and work cooperatively.

What is the quadrant system?

UCO’s board-training outline explains that the Village is divided into four quadrants, each assigned to a vice-president. It describes the VPs as available to assist associations and expressly states that they cannot provide legal advice.

For an association board, that creates an identifiable UCO contact. Instead of guessing which office or committee to approach, the board can ask its quadrant VP to help identify the appropriate next step.

Confirm your assignment.

Ask UCO which quadrant includes your association and which VP currently serves it. The directory below transcribes the assignments published in the October 2026 UCO Reporter. Confirm later changes, uncertain subdivision names or a contact that does not work with UCO.

Find your subdivision and VP

The four lists below come from the supplied UCO Reporter, October 2026, page 4. Find your subdivision name; then use the email shown for its vice-president. These are published assignments as of that issue, not a live officeholder roster.

Subdivision names—not individual building letters.

Use the subdivision list to identify your published contact. If your association name is unclear, is not listed, or an assignment has changed, confirm with the UCO office. Retain the confirmed contact in the board’s handover records.

How this can help association boards

The following are practical ways Board Synergy suggests using the relationship. Ask your VP which assistance is available for your particular situation.

Find the right starting point

Describe a concern involving UCO services, paperwork, or a community-wide issue. Ask which office, committee, or staff contact should review it.

Orient new directors

Ask about UCO’s role, the association’s delegate, current forms, and where to find official information. A short introduction can reduce confusion after an election.

Clarify the process

Ask where to obtain current instructions and who handles the next step. Use the VP’s guidance to locate the authoritative form or procedure rather than relying on recollection alone.

Communicate recurring concerns

Explain patterns affecting your association and ask how to bring them to the appropriate UCO forum. Specific examples are more useful than a general complaint.

Where helpful, ask whether the VP is available for a discussion with your board. Confirm availability and purpose rather than assuming attendance or a particular service is guaranteed.

Keep the roles clear.

The relationship does not transfer the association board’s responsibilities to the VP. Confirm who is authorized to approve a proposed action, commit funds, or give instructions before proceeding.

Bring a clear question and a manageable record.

  1. Identify your association

Give the association name, your role, and a contact person. Mention whether you are asking personally or on behalf of the board.

  2. Describe the issue briefly

State what happened, when, and what you need: a contact, a form, clarification of the process, or help bringing an issue forward.

  3. Explain what has already been tried

Identify any office or manager contacted and the response received. Bring only relevant, appropriately shareable documents.

  4. Agree on the next step

Ask who will act, what information is needed, and when to check back. Confirm consequential guidance with the responsible office or professional.

Do not send passwords, complete screening files, medical details, or privileged legal correspondence merely to explain a routine question. Ask for an appropriate secure channel if sensitive information is needed.

A useful introduction after an election

“I am [name], [role] for [association]. We would like to confirm our quadrant vice-president and establish a reliable contact between our board and UCO.

Our current delegate is [name]. Please let us know how best to contact our VP, which association contact forms need updating, and where to find the current procedures. Our immediate question is [brief description].”

Board Synergy recommends keeping the confirmed contact in the board’s handover folder and reviewing it whenever officers or assignments change.

Confirm an assignment or contact UCO

Start with the published directory above. If you need confirmation, contact the UCO office and provide your association’s name. Ask for the current quadrant assignment, vice-president, preferred contact method, and appointment arrangements.

For an immediate emergency, call 911. Use the association’s established emergency-maintenance channel for urgent building problems rather than waiting for a routine VP response.

A connection that supports cooperation.

A board that knows its quadrant VP has a clearer path into UCO. A VP who receives focused questions and current association contacts is better positioned to help route concerns. Both benefit when responsibilities and next steps are understood.
